Responsibility
As an Institute with an international focus, we feel socially, politically
and ecologically responsible for all of our actions. Therefore, The Intercultural
Institute has embraced the principle of corporate responsibility and sustainable
development into its corporate policy and decision making process.

The principle of sustainability is based on the fundamental belief that no generation should
live at the expense of successive generations. In recent years, this economic
principle has evolved into a key factor determining entrepreneurial management.
The Intercultural Institute therefore places an equal importance on economic,
ecological and social concerns in the formulation of its business strategies.

By promoting cultural understanding, awareness and sensitivity, The Intercultural
Institute works towards a better society and a better world as a whole. In order
to be true to our own mission, we have committed ourselves to adhere to the
principles of the UN Global Compact.

The UN Global Compact is a worldwide voluntary corporate citizenship initiative for corporate governance based on 10 major
principles. It is organized as an alliance between businesses and politics.

The UN Global Compact was created in 1999 by the Secretary General of the United Nations, Kofi Annan, and has since
grown into a network of hundreds of companies from all regions of the world.
